OPEN HOUSE – Old Coach Road and Hovey Road Drainage Basin Analysis – Storm Water Review

Thursday, January 25, 2024 – 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m.

The Town of Quispamsis has engaged CBCL Limited Consulting Engineers to complete a Storm Water Analysis study in the Old Coach area from 66 to 315 Old Coach Road and 1 to 32 Hovey Road. The analysis will include a comprehensive study of overall drainage patterns to identify possible challenges and inadequacies in the system, and to make recommendations to improve management of drainage in the area.

Additionally, residents in the area have reported overland flooding, surcharged ditches, and erosion of ditches and road shoulders. To ensure a comprehensive analysis, CBCL is engaging residents and property owners to identify individual property specific issues, gather background information, obtain community feedback, and discuss collaborative measures to best address the challenges faced by both property owners and the Town.

An open house is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Quispamsis Town Hall Council Chambers, with sessions from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Representatives from the Town and CBCL will be available for discussion and consultation. Information will be provided on steps homeowners can take to minimize the effects of potential flooding on their property and the Town’s efforts to reduce the flooding effects within the municipal right-of-way.
