Council Meetings

Quispamsis Town Council holds regular meetings to handle all town-related matters in a timely, efficient manner.

Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, except in January, March, June, July and August when meetings are held only on the third Tuesday of the month.

You are welcome to attend or watch proceedings online. Proceedings are rebroadcast on Rogers TV. Check local listings for broadcast times.

You can also request to appear before Council.

Participate in person

In Quispamsis, we value input from members of our community. You can speak directly to your town leadership by filling out a Request to Address Council.

  • An address to Council can be up to ten minutes long.
  • Requests must be submitted by the Council Agenda deadline of 1 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the scheduled meeting date.
  • Any relevant information, including items you may be referencing in your address, must be included in your request.
  • The Agenda is posted on the Monday prior to the scheduled meeting.
  • The Minutes of previous meetings are posted once approved by Quispamsis Town Council.

Committee of the Whole and Closed Sessions

A Committee of the Whole is a committee of all members of a council, and its primary function is to thoroughly discuss issues and make recommendations to the full council for final decision-making in open session.

Some discussions in a regular meeting and/or Committee of the Whole can become sensitive in nature, which requires the meeting to move into a closed session.

Closed meetings are not open to the public.
