Public Notice: Proposed By-Law Amendment No. 024-20; A By-Law of the Municipality of Quispamsis Respecting Water Utility

Public Notice is hereby given that Quispamsis Town Council intends to consider enacting By-law Amendment No. 024-20; A By-law Respecting Water Utility.  The proposed Amendment to this By-law proposes:

• To increase the Water User Fee Fixed Charge Component by 4.10%, with the basic rate going from $268 to $279 annually, with larger meters increasing by about 4.10%. The Water User Fee Consumption Charge Component (up to 96 c.m. per quarter) is to increase by 4.10% from $1.0946 to $1.1395 per cm and the second level usage charge to increase from $1.7335 to $1.8046 per cm (4%).

The proposed By-law Amendment No. 024-20 received first and second reading at the December 10, 2024, Special Meeting and third and final reading will be considered by Council at the December 17, 2024, Regular Meeting which begins at 6:00 p.m., and is held in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

The proposed by-law may be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Quispamsis Town Hall, and is also attached to this notice.
