Planning Advisory Committee

If you are looking to build or renovate a home, add a garage or fence, or run a business in Quispamsis, you may need to confirm your plans through the town’s Planning Advisory Committee, also known as the PAC.

PAC plays a critical role in the ongoing development of Quispamsis as a community. It is a citizen-lead committee appointed by Quispamsis Town Council, as required under the New Brunswick Community Planning Act.

The PAC makes recommendations to Council on planning-related matters, like proposed subdivision developments, property rezoning, municipal plan amendments, and zoning amendments.

PAC authorizes variances, including construction setbacks for property owners, temporary use variances and home occupations.

PAC Meetings

PAC meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Quispamsis Town Hall on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, except for July and August when meetings are on the second Tuesday only.

  • The PAC meeting Agenda is available on the Monday prior to the scheduled meeting date.
  • The Minutes of previous PAC meetings are available once approved by the PAC.
  • Meetings are shown live on the Town of Quispamsis YouTube Channel and recordings of previous meetings are also available there.

Notices to property owners in the vicinity of a proposal will be mailed out and correspondence will be accepted until 12 p.m. on the Thursday prior to a scheduled meeting.
