Property Taxes

Property taxes are set, maintained and collected by the Government of New Brunswick.

Every person who owns real property in the Province of New Brunswick or who leases property from the Crown, either Federal or Provincial, will pay property tax, with some exemptions.

Service New Brunswick is responsible for assessing the value of all real property within the province, on an annual basis, for tax purposes.

The New Brunswick Finance and Treasury Board is responsible for the billing and collection of property taxes, including those levied by the Town of Quispamsis, other municipalities, and local governments.

Residential Property Tax Rate: $1.2777 (per $100 of assessment)
Total Non-Residential Property Tax Rate: $4.0281 (per $100 of assessment)**

**This figure is the combined total of the Town of Quispamsis Non-Residential Property Tax Rate of $2.1721 with the Province of New Brunswick's Non-Residential property levy of $1.8560.
