The qplex is a recreation and community centre and is regarded as a hub of activity, but Quispamsis also features many parks, trails, beaches, playgrounds, sports fields and a community garden.

Volunteer Recognition Award Nomination Form
The Town of Quispamsis annually recognizes the important contribution that our volunteers make through many organizations.
Quispamsis residents, community groups, schools, and churches are encouraged to nominate an outstanding volunteer from their organization for the 2026 Quispamsis Volunteer Recognition Award.

Canadian Jump Start Application
Founded in 2005, Jumpstart helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities.
KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport.
KidSport New Brunswick provides grants of up to $400 per eligible kid, per calendar year towards sport registration fees.
P.R.O. Kids, a charitable program operated by the City of Saint John, can pay the registration fees, equipment costs, and transportation costs related to organized, registered recreation.
The Town of Quispamsis has three (3) $750 scholarships, to be awarded to graduating Quispamsis students attending High School.

The Town of Quispamsis offers financial support to individual athletes, teams and leagues who are hosting an event in our community or travelling and representing the region in a sporting or cultural event.
Fill out and submit a Sponsorship Program Application (up to $100 available) or a Sport Hosting Program Application (up to $1,000 available) to take advantage of these funds.
Recreation Facility Allocation Policy
Many recreation facilities in Quispamsis are governed by a Recreation Facility Allocation Policy.
Its purpose is to:
- Establish a fair and transparent process for allocating the use of town recreational facilities;
- Define user group categories and outline their priority for facility access;
- Advance equity, inclusion, sustainability, and public benefit through facility booking practices;
- Provide guidance for town staff for administering facility scheduling in a consistent and accountable manner;
- Encourage responsible use, collaborative problem solving, and data-informed decision making around facility access.
This policy is guided by extensive community engagement, best practices in recreation management, and the town’s commitment to serving the diverse needs of residents.
