NOTICE OF A SECOND PUBLIC HEARING
RE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
HAMEL DRIVE DEVELOPMENTS
Public Notice is hereby given that the Quispamsis Town Council has been requested to and intends to consider a request to amend a development agreement entered into under the Community Planning Act as part of a previous rezoning approval, including subsequent amending agreements between the town of Quispamsis and Hamel Drive Developments, (formerly Master Developments Ltd), concerning the following Integrated, (Mixed Residential), Development property:
A parcel of land consisting of 6.56 hectares, (16.2 acres), serviced by municipal water and sewage, and identified as PID No. 00173732. The property is located next to Route 119, situated between Swanton Drive, Gondola Point Arterial, Millican Drive and Susan Street, with access proposed off Swanton Drive and Millican Drive.
REASON FOR CHANGE: The applicant is requesting the agreement and subsequent amending agreements be amended to implement the following:
Change in Phasing –
Phase 1A – 1st multi-unit apartment building off Swanton Drive;
Phase 1B – Initial 5 duplex lots off Millican Drive;
Phase 2 – Continuation of 7 duplex lots off Millican;
Phase 3A – 6 duplex lots;
Phase 3B – 2nd multi-unit apartment building; and
Phase 4 – Final 5 duplex lots.
Timelines –July, 2022 to December, 2026
Change in Number of Units –
Phase 1A – 1st multi-unit apt – units to increase from 25 to 36; and
Phase 3B – 2nd multi-unit apt – from 38 units to 42
Total – 124 Units
A Public Hearing of the proposed amendment will be held August 16, 2022. at 6:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick, where Council will hear and consider any objections to the proposed amendment. This is a second Public Hearing regarding this matter scheduled to correct an error contained in the first Public Notice relating to the total number of units being proposed. The first Notice indicated the total number of units to be 109 rather than 124 which is the actual number of units being proposed.
Written objections may be made to the Council in care of the undersigned and submitted no later than August 11, 2022 by 1:00 p.m.
The proposed amendment may be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
