PUBLIC NOTICE

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ZONING BY-LAW NO. 038

 

Public Notice is hereby given that the Quispamsis Town Council has been requested to and intends to consider amending  “By-law No. 038, A By-law of the Municipality of Quispamsis Respecting Zoning”, pursuant to the applicable Sections of the Community Planning Act of New Brunswick in order to rezone the following two (2) properties from Single and Two Family Residential (R1) to Multiple Residential (R2):

Two parcels of land identified as PID No’s. 30288112 & 30118384 with Civic No. 45 Old Coach Road and 1 Hovey Road and situated on the corner of Old Coach Road and Hovey Road.

REASON FOR CHANGE: To permit the development of two (2) 4-plexes and three (3) tri-plexes for single ownership and rental of the individual units, (total of 17).

Council, at its July 18, 2023 Regular Meeting, referred the proposed rezoning application to the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC), for its written views, and set a Public Hearing date before Council for September 19, 2023 at 6:00  p.m., in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall.  PAC will be reviewing the application at its September 12, 2023 PAC Meeting, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  For more information concerning PAC’s review of this matter, you may email [email protected] .

With reference to Council’s Public Hearing scheduled for September 19, 2023; written objections to the proposed amendment may be made, (by email, or mail, or dropped off to Town Hall), to the Council in care of the undersigned and submitted no later than 1 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

The proposed amendment is attached, and may further be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick and/or by contacting the Clerk’s office.
