Public Notice – Proposed Amendment to Municipal Plan By-Law No. 054 & Zoning By-Law No.038

Public Notice is hereby given that the Quispamsis Town Council has been requested to and intends to consider amending A By-law No. 054, A By-law of the Municipality of Quispamsis Respecting the Quispamsis Municipal Plan and “By-law No. 038, A By-law of the Municipality of Quispamsis Respecting Zoning”,  pursuant to the applicable Sections of the Community Planning Act of New Brunswick in order to rezone  the following property from Residential (R1)  to Neighbourhood Commercial, (NC) subject to a development agreement:

A parcel of land consisting of 1605 square meters, identified as PID No. 0091827, with Civic No. 247 Hampton Road, and situated on corner of Hampton Road & Lake Road with access off Lake Road.

REASON FOR CHANGE:   To allow a proposed remodelling of the existing storey and a-half building to be used as a family medical clinic. The main floor of the building is proposed to accommodate the examination offices, while the top floor will contain the personal office space for the doctors. The current proposition is for the business to employ two (2) physicians; however, the applicants would like to request permission to permit a third (3) physician at the location. The site plan identifies ten (10) parking stalls.

A Public Presentation of the proposed amendment will be held on December 6, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, NB.

Written objections to the proposed amendment may be made to the Council in care of the undersigned within 30 days of the Public Presentation.

The proposed by-law amendments may be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick and/or by contacting the Clerk’s office at [email protected] .
