Town of Quispamsis reaches five-year agreement with CUPE Local 3226

The Town of Quispamsis has reached a five-year labour agreement with Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3226, which represents outside workers.

The agreement, which extends through the end of 2027, will see unionized staff receive a 16.75% wage increase over five years.

“We are very happy with this agreement,” said Quispamsis Mayor Libby O’Hara. “I want to commend the negotiating teams for working hard to reach a deal which is good for the Town and our valuable unionized staff.”

Following a ratification vote by CUPE members, Quispamsis Town Council approved the agreement at a special meeting on Thursday.
