Current Work

Meenan’s Cove Road (Cobblestone Drive to Rockefeller Drive) - Landscaping underway.

Princeton Avenue, Winchester Drive - Installation of new concrete sidewalk. Preparing driveways a roadway for grading later in the week.

Model Farm Road - Roadway granular fine grading with asphalt to follow. Base and seal asphalt scheduled for later in the week.

Old Neck Road - Landscaping underway.

Quispamsis Road (Meadowlark Drive to Nightingale Lane) - Sidewalk is being placed followed by base asphalt. Seal asphalt to come in the next couple weeks.

Kensington Avenue - Milling of the existing asphalt is complete, awaiting work on adjacent streets so asphalt can be placed.  Manhole adjustments to commence.

Forresters Road - Padding and paving scheduled for early in the week.

Detours

While it is anticipated the duration of construction on each street will be limited, motorists are advised to expect traffic delays during the construction period. The Town will make every effort to maintain one lane open at all times or ensure flag persons will be on site to direct traffic through the construction area.  

Model Farm Road and Princeton Avenue will be closed to through traffic and motorists will be detoured onto adjacent streets.

Notes

The 2024 Street Upgrades program is expected to operate through the end of September. The work is being performed by Galbraith Construction Ltd. A full list of streets identified for upgrades is available here.

The work performed, timelines and streets affected are all subject to change. The public will be notified of any major changes.
