Current Work

Meenan’s Cove Road (Cobblestone Drive to Rockefeller Drive) - Road granular base materials to be placed and compacted. An undercut is required near Rockefeller. Base asphalt expected to begin later in the week.

Princeton Avenue - Storm sewer installation final steps, plus road construction and curb and sidewalk installation.

Model Farm Road - Clearing and grubbing. Driveway culverts and ditching are underway.

Old Neck Road - Storm sewer installation; realignment of the Old Neck Road/Neck Road intersection.

Westminster Avenue - Driveway reinstatements and shouldering.

Detours

While it is anticipated the duration of construction on each street will be limited, motorists are advised to expect traffic delays during the construction period. The Town will make every effort to maintain one lane open at all times or ensure flag persons will be on site to direct traffic through the construction area.

Meenan's Cove Road will have temporary traffic lights setup for one way traffic.

Notes

The 2024 Street Upgrades program is expected to operate through the end of September. The work is being performed by Galbraith Construction Ltd. A full list of streets identified for upgrades is available here.

The work performed, timelines and streets affected are all subject to change. The public will be notified of any major changes.
