Current Work

Meenan’s Cove Road (Cobblestone Drive to Rockefeller Drive) - Landscaping and driveway reinstatements underway.

Princeton Avenue, Winchester Drive - Installation of new concrete curb, followed by concrete sidewalk. Roadway construction will begin after the concrete work is complete.

Model Farm Road - Roadway construction continuing including ditching and associated storm work. 

Old Neck Road - Landscaping and driveway reinstatements underway.

Quispamsis Road (Meadowlark Drive to Nightingale Lane) - Milling of asphalt complete, storm work underway with curb preparations starting. Curb is being placed, followed by sidewalk.  Asphalt to be placed over the next couple weeks.

Kensington Avenue - Milling of the existing asphalt is complete, awaiting work on adjacent streets so asphalt can be placed.  Manhole adjustments to commence.

Detours

While it is anticipated the duration of construction on each street will be limited, motorists are advised to expect traffic delays during the construction period. The Town will make every effort to maintain one lane open at all times or ensure flag persons will be on site to direct traffic through the construction area.  

Model Farm Road and Princeton Avenue will be closed to through traffic and motorists will be detoured onto adjacent streets.

Notes

The 2024 Street Upgrades program is expected to operate through the end of September. The work is being performed by Galbraith Construction Ltd. A full list of streets identified for upgrades is available here.

The work performed, timelines and streets affected are all subject to change. The public will be notified of any major changes.
