Current Work

Meenan’s Cove Road (Cobblestone Drive to Rockefeller Drive) - Placement of new asphalt will continue. Shouldering, landscaping and driveway reinstatements will follow.

Princeton Avenue, Winchester Drive - Installation of new concrete curb followed by concrete sidewalk. Roadway construction is expected to commence once concrete work is completed.

Model Farm Road - Roadway construction is expected to begin, starting with the removal of asphalt and roadway base gravel. Ditching and associated storm sewer work will continue.

Old Neck Road - Storm sewer installation will continue. Roadway grading is expected to begin.

Kensington Avenue - Milling of the existing asphalt is expected to begin late in the week.

Quispamsis Road (Meadowlark Drive to Nightingale Lane) - Milling of the existing asphalt is expected to begin late in the week. This project is expected to include construction of a new community mailbox lay-by on Meadowlark Drive and relocation of the existing mailboxes; a new pedestrian crosswalk on Quispamsis Road at Meadowlark; some new curb, gutter and sidewalk installation; re-ditching work and roadway milling and paving.

Detours

While it is anticipated the duration of construction on each street will be limited, motorists are advised to expect traffic delays during the construction period. The Town will make every effort to maintain one lane open at all times or ensure flag persons will be on site to direct traffic through the construction area.

Meenan's Cove Road will have temporary traffic lights setup for one way traffic.

Notes

The 2024 Street Upgrades program is expected to operate through the end of September. The work is being performed by Galbraith Construction Ltd. A full list of streets identified for upgrades is available here.

The work performed, timelines and streets affected are all subject to change. The public will be notified of any major changes.
