Construction Notice: Drainage Improvements - October 10, 2024

The Drainage Improvements 2024 project is now underway. Work is commencing at the following locations:

384 French Village Road - Replacing existing cross culvert and installing a catch basin to widen roadway shoulders.

36 Goldrush Drive - Replacing existing cross culvert and installing a catch basin to better direct water flow.

21 Leeswood Drive - Installing an overflow culvert to help alleviate existing storm system flooding.

9 Hardwood Crescent - Installing a catch basin to better direct water flow.

Natureview Trail - trail reconstruction, bank stabilization

Detours

While it is anticipated the duration of construction on each street will be limited, motorists are advised to expect traffic delays during the construction period. The Town will make every effort to maintain one lane open at all times or ensure flag persons will be on site to direct traffic through the construction area. 

Project Scope

The Drainage Improvements 2024 contract includes multiple streets as follows: French Village Road, Hardwood Crescent, Goldrush Drive, Leeswood Drive and Natureview Trail

All of the streets will see storm water management improvements and updates through the addition of structures, replacing damaged or old structures, bank supports via riprap, or ditch shaping . We have also included shoulder maintenance on most of the streets as well as driveway replacement where warranted.
 
Landscaping and driveways will be restored at the end of the project.  Work is expected to commence October 10th and be completed towards the end of October 2024.
