PUBLIC NOTICE

PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

 

Public Notice is hereby given that the Quispamsis Town Council has been requested to and intends to consider amending Zoning  By-Law No. 38 in order to redesignate the following property from Single or Two Family Residential (R1) to Multiple Residential (R2)  subject to a Section 59  Community Planning Act agreement:

 

A parcel of land, consisting of  16,600 square meters, (4.17 acres), identified as 258 Hampton Road with PID No. 251959.

 

REASON FOR CHANGE:  To allow the rezoning of the land in question from Residential (R1) to Multiple Residential (R2) to construct three (3) four-storey apartment buildings.  The proposal includes underground parking, a community garden, a community building, a walking path,  and a pickleball court.  The completed development will consist of one hundred (100) units, constructed over three (3) phases, as follows:

 

Phase A – 40 Units, Phase B – 24 Units, and Phase C – 36 Units, (Site Plan & Conceptual Renderings Attached)

IMPORTANT: Public Hearing Location under COVID-19 Restrictions

 

The Public Hearing for the proposed amendment will be held on June 16, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held either electronically due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions or, in the Council Chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court,  Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

 

The final decision of whether the meeting will be held electronically or in the Council Chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall will be noted on the June 16, 2020, Regular Council Meeting Agenda. The agenda will be posted on the Town’s website www.quispamsis.ca  Monday morning, June 15, 2020. Please feel free to contact the Town Clerk’s Office at csnow@quispamsis.ca or Phone 849-5738 to confirm the location of the Public Hearing.

 

Written objections to the proposed amendment may be made to the Council in care of the undersigned and submitted no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020.  If the meeting is conducted electronically, those residents wishing to participate in the Public Hearing will be provided with an access link via email.
