TOWN OF QUISPAMSIS
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SECTION 59 COMMUNITY PLANNING ACT
Public Notice is hereby given that the Quispamsis Town Council has been requested to and intends to consider amending the agreement under Section 59 of the Community Planning Act, entered into between the town of Quispamsis and Wash 66 Ltd., dated February 27, 2017. The agreement outlines the terms and conditions of the Zoning By-law Amendment No. 038-22 that permits, as a notwithstanding use, a car wash operation in a central commercial zone on a portion of PID No. 30256226 off the Pettingill Road.
REASON FOR CHANGE: To permit the water source for wash operations to be drilled wells instead of the bulk importing of water. (Paragraph 2.(c) of the Development Agreement).
A Public Hearing of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment will be held May 19, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. If the current COVID-19 Pandemic at that point in time, still requires physical distancing, the May 19, 2020 Regular Meeting of the Quispamsis Town Council will be held electronically under authority of the Local Governance Act, Section 69, and the Town of Quispamsis, Procedural By-law No. 33. If this is the case, a link will be provided on the Town’s website www.quispamsis.ca where Members of the Public can view the Council Meeting in Real Time, and additional information will be provided to those wishing to speak for or against the proposed amendment. If the COVID-19 is no longer an issue requiring physical distancing, then the Public Hearing will be held in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court. This will be confirmed on the posting of the Council Agenda on the Town’s website by Monday, May 18, 2020. Written objections to the proposed amendment may be made to the Council in care of the undersigned and submitted by 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2020.
The proposed amendment may be inspected by any interested person on the Town’s website at www.quispamsis.ca.
