PUBLIC NOTICE
PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

Public Notice is hereby given that the Quispamsis Town Council has been requested to and intends to consider amending Zoning By-Law No. 38 to rezone the following property from Residential (R1) to Multiple Residential (R2):

A parcel of land, identified as PID No. 30327753 with Civic No. 280 Hampton Road, with access off the Hampton Road, and consisting of 10,540 square meters (2.6 acres).

REASON FOR CHANGE: To permit the construction of two – 2 storey, six (6) unit apartment buildings. The property currently has a six (6) unit apartment building, (adjacent to Quispamsis Elementary School), but it is recognized as a legal non-conforming use.  The Zoning By-law No. 038 permits the existing use of the land in this manner; however, in order to construct additional buildings on the property, it must be rezoned to Multiple Residential (R2).

A Public Hearing of the proposed amendment will be held August 20, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

Written objections to the proposed amendment may be made to the Council in care of the undersigned, and submitted no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019.

The proposed by-law amendment may be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Quispamsis Town Hall.
