Message from FERO

Dear residents,

Over the last few weeks, FERO has been unable to meet the high standards of customer service we place upon ourselves.

This is due to a number of issues, specifically, the recovery phase after near-record flooding, the volume of spring clean-up materials in various municipalities and the wet weather.

Many of the items that have been placed curbside are saturated with water from the unusually rainy month of May. The weight of these items is causing difficulty for our workforce and our equipment.

As a result, many residential customers have seen delays in their service. We apologize for this.

We are confident we are now close to overcoming these obstacles, and we expect to return to normal operations for our 20,000 customers in the Saint John region soon.

However, over the course of the next two weeks, if your solid waste (garbage or compost/recycling) is not collected by 8 pm on your regularly-scheduled day, it will be picked up on the following business day.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we deal with these challenges.
